Our Roscommon moot, which we call the Pobal Gathering, was started in August of 2003 and has run strongly for the past year. The regular meetings have been a source of inspiration, learning, and a focal point for community spirit since it's inception. The Pobal Gathering has truly earned it's name. For more information on it please visit our Pobal page, or you can join our online community by sending an email to .Féile Draíochta - a Festival of Irish Magic and Spirituality - is Ireland's annual national gathering of Witches, Pagans, Druids, Shamans and interested parties. It is a full day of talks, workshops, healing, divination, stalls and shopping, plus great musical entertainment. A word on Moots and other Monthly Gatherings:
It should be noted that a moot is NOT a coven or even a magical working group in the conventional sense. It is simply an open door monthly meeting of like minded individuals - a safe space in which to get to know those in your county or immediate area who are interested in the same kind of thing you may be. Moot organisers are more often facilitators than Coven or group leaders, though sometimes there is crossover in the roles. As such, if anybody is interested in providing such a facility to their local pagan community, but is unsure how to go about it, I invite you to contact me (or any other Moot leader I am sure) for advice and support. You can Email me at: . Likewise, if anybody is aware of a gathering local to them, but uncertain of whether to attend or not, I do urge you to do so! Outside of the major cities it can be a challenge to get sufficient attendance to keep the meetings going, so Community support and participation is most welcome and necessary. Please feel free to contact the organiser/s before hand if you are nervous or have questions, most are only too willing to help out.
